
Researching 130 patients undergo upper extremities surgery with local anesthesia of brachial plexus via interscalenus rout at Cam Ranh hospital, from 10/2009 to 07/2010. Objective: to evaluate effects, accidents and complications of this method. Research method: prospective study. Results: patients loss their sensory after 6,19 + or - 4,15 minutes. Good: 93,08 percent, medium: 6,92 percent, bad: 0 percent. The effect lasts 242 + or - 22,80 minutes. Accidents: puncture vessels: 02 cases (1,54 percent). Complications: hoarseness: 05 cases (3,85 percent). Conclusion: the technique of local anesthesia of brachial plexus via interscalenus rout in upper extremities surgery is not very hard, safety, effective with a little of accidents and complications. Patients obta!n fast recovery after operation and the cost is cheap.
