Đánh giá kết quả điều trị rối loạn thái dương hàm dưới bằng máng nhai ổn định

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of stabilization splint therapy in patients with temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Methods: Twenty-two patients with TMD particitpated in this study. The VAS, range of mouth opening, asymmetric mandibular movement, clicking sound, EAI (Electrography Activity Index) was measured before and after the use of the splint. Result: After using the splint one and three months, the VAS, limit of mouth opening, asymmetric mandibular movement, clicking sound reduce. The EAI increases significantly (p0.05). Conclusions: Stabilization Splints are effective in treating patients with temporomandibular disorder.
