Objective: Assessesment of laparoscopic surgery for CBD stones. Material and method: The study included 316 pateints undergone laparoscopic surgery for CBD stones and gall blader at Bach Mai Hospital from October 2007 to October 2011. The diagnosis was based on clinical signs and ultrasound (all of them) CT (58 cases), MRI (215 cases) All of them had been performed choledocholithotomy and primary sutured of CBD in 185 cases (62.92 percent) Insersed Kehr tube in 102 cases (34,69 percent), cholecystectomy at same time 88 cases (29.93 percent) 12 cases had to coverved to opened surgery (3.79 percent). Results: The procedures had been successful in 93.03 percent. Complication rate is 5.78 percent, (included 2 cases of peritonitis, 2 cases of had biliary fistula, 5 cases had fruid collection). The mean hospital stay was 4.5 days in closed CBD group and 8.8 days in T-tube group. Conclusion: Laparoscopic surgery for choledocholithotomy on CBD stones is a safe and effective procedure which can make early recovery for the patients and shortening the hospitalization. The primary close of CBD can be applied when the clearance of stones, no cholangitis and communication CBD and duodenum had been definitive.
