
This study included 48 patients with thyroid beningn tumor. Objective: Evaluate the early results of treatment of thyroid benign tumor by open surgery in Can Tho University of medicine and pharmasist hospital. Methods: prospective, cross-sectional descriptive. Results: 35 percent of patients with no clinical symptoms, palpable hard tumor density accounted for 68.75 percent and longer disease duration, the larger the tumor size. Goiter accounted for 56.3 percent polymorphonuclear on ultrasound and 93.75 percent is the swollen thyroid glue in pathology results. No complications accounted for 89.55 percent after surgery. 89.6 percent of patients were good reviews at discharge. 100 percent of the surgeries were successful. After 30 days, most patients feel better before surgery. Conclusion: Open surgery for treatment of thyroid beningn tumor is safe, effective and create comfort for the patient.
