
Objective: Evaluation factors affecting mortality and recovery of severe TBI patient follow up at 6 months posttraumatic. Patients and Methods: prospective study based on 256 patients with traumatic brain injury. The results at discharge (mortality) and 6 months posttraumatic by GOS and between groups generally related to helmet use, the level of coma (deep coma and no deep coma), mydriasis, resulting in CT-scan, treatments. Results: TBI parient are more in male than in femal (83,6 percent), almost in the working age (83,7 percent" the average age is 38,21 + or - 15,75.The overall recovery after injury 6 months based on GOS is 36,7 percent with moderate disability or good recovery (GOS 4 and 5). Conclusion: The high mortality rate in patients do not wear helmets, deep coma, unilateral or bilateral mydriasis, diffuse injury in CT imaging evacuated and non-surgical management.
