Purposes: To determine the CEA(+) ratio. To evaluate the relationship between CEA(+) status and patient's and tumor's charateristics. Patient and methods: Prospective research of 111 cases of colonic cancer, radically operated at UMC from 10/2008 to 6/2011. The speciments were washed up. The tumor's charateristics (location, size, macro, microcharateristics) were defined. The CEA(+) ratio was determined. The patient's and tumor's charateristics and the relationship between CEA(+) status and patient's and tumor's charateristics were evaluated. Results: The most common age was between 40-70, ratio of male to female was 1,3. The disease is advanced at hospitalization. The tumor's height of 5 em or more was in 46.1 percent of cases, tumor's perimeter (1/2 of colonic wall's perimeter) was in 91 percent of cases. The buds (macroscopic type) was 78 percent, adenocarcinome (micro type (88.2 percent) were common, and moderately defferentiated was 77.3 percent. The CEA(+) ratio was hight in 50.5 percent. It depends on micro type of the tumor.
