
Background: Prevalence of prediabetes is increasing worldwide. Many organs and tissues are damaged in prediabetic stage. Prediabetes can be improved to reduce going to diabetes stage by preventing risk factors. Risk factors of prediabetes are also to be of diabetes. Objectives: To evaluate some risk factors of prediabetic individuals in outpatient department of Bach mai hospital. Methods: a cross sectional, descriptive study was carried out on 1054 persons, from 30 to 69 years ago, who check health in outpatient department of Bach Mai Hospital from 2 to 10/2012, diagnosed prediabetes according to criteria of WHO - 1999, asked and examined: age, gender, history of family, pregnancy with diabetes, height, weigh, waist measurement. Results and Conclusions: There are tight associations between groups with diabetic family, hypertension, increased waist measurement, BMI or = 23 and prediabetes.
