
Objectives: To determine the rates and describe the clinical characteristics and some factors related the fungal nosocomical infections in PICU. Method: a cross-sectional study and case - control study. Results: From September 2009 to August 2011, 941 consecutive PICU were enrolled in our study with 40 patients developed fungal nosocomical infections, the nosocomical infections were 4.1 percent. Candida is the commonest fungal nosocomical infectons (95 percent), fungal pneumonia accounting for 34/40 (80 percent), fungal septicemia 6/40 (15 percent), fungal tract urine 2/40 (5 percent). Factors related to fungal nosocomicaI infections were: use of devices (endotracheal tube, central venous catheter and urinary catheter...), use of antibiotic OR (1.93-39.4),
