
From Nov 2007 to Feb 2013, 7 Thalassemic patients (aged from 7 to 15) were treated with hematopoetic stem cell transplantation. All patients were in the category 2. The HSC donors were HLA mached siblings (6 patient have 8/8 locci mached, 1 patient have 7/810cci mached. The saurces of HSC: 6/8 from BM, 1/8 from PB and 1/8 from CB. Results: - The engraftment was achieved in 6 patients, and they become transfusion independent. In 1 patient the engraftment was not achieved. 2 other children had graft rejected in 15 and 20 months after transplantation. - The common early complications were fever, infection and capilary leak syndrom. The complication were controled with medication. - 9-12 months after transplantation the patient received CsA. No GVH was observed. - The long-term result is in observation.
