
Objective: To assess the effectiveness of embolisation methods in treatment of pancreaticoduodenal artery injuries. Subjects and Methods: From 11/2011 to 11/2013, included seven patients with injuries of pancreaticoduodenal artery on CT-Scanner were treated by endovascular embolisation. Results: All 7 patients had hematoma and arterial injuries in pancrteaticodoudenal area on CT-Scanner. On the angiography, threre were three patients had injuries of the anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery, one had injury of the posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery, one had injury of gastroduodenal artery, one had injury of the posterior inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery and one had injuries of posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal and anterior inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery. All patients were successfully embolised. Conclusion: Endovascular embolisation is a safe and effective method in the treatment of bleeding due to injuries of pancreaticoduodenal arteries.
