Lateral dislocation of the intact mandibular condyles is quite rare. Up to now (2012) there are only 22 cases reported in the English literatures. The purpose of this article is to describe how to manipulate a case very late (23 days) with a new device that the author developed. The pre-operative and post-operative three dimensional computed tomography scans showed that the result is successful. The author also discuss the principle of diagnosis and management of lateral dislocation of the the mandibular condyles.
