A research has been done to evaluate sedative effect and other unexpected effects of Propofol during spinal anesthetization by using the combination of bupivacain - fentanyl in lower abdominal surgery. The sedative effects of propofol on patients in spinal anesthesia with a ratio of 19/20 of male and female at an average age of 43.15 + or - 13.08 and an average BMI of 21,54 + or - 2,57 was stable during operations; the anxiety levels of both groups has been decreased at the 10th minutes to the thirtieth minutes of operating time. The effactiveness of the first analgesic dose on the propofol group was longer, and lasted for 2 hours with less pain when compared to the non - Propofol group. The satisfaction level in patients with propofol was higher and there was no complication in using propofol.
