To describe the health status as well as disease of participants in food processing in the collective kitchens of public kindergartens in Thai Binh province, 395 participants in food. processing had clinical examination and blood' pressure measurement. Results showed that the rate of female participants accounted for 69.6 percent, higher than males with 30.4 percent. The participants aged 30-39 accounted for 25.6 percent while those aged 50-59 accounted for 25.1 percent. The majority (55.2 percent) who took part in food processing graduated secondary schools. Processors had the highest incidence in musculoskeletal and hypertension diseases (both 17.7 percent), eye disease (12.2 percent), followed by digestive diseases, ear, nose and throat diseases, with 10.3 percent, 9.6 percent and 6.8 percent, respectively. The incidence of common diseases was 0.97 disease/person, of which female accounted for 1.01 - higher than male with 0:88/person.
