Review of 46 patients underwent thoracoscopic for treatment of thoracic trauma between January 2005 and June 2011 in Viet Duc hospital. 39 of them with close thoracosopic surgery, 4 with VATS, 3 patients required conversion to ttloracotomy. ..Clotted hemothorax: 89.1 percent. Mean operate time~ 105 minutes, mean hospital stays: 8.8 days. There was 1 patient complicated of surgical wound infection, no hospital death. Follow up (32/46: 69 percent): 4 patients uncomfortable in deep breathing, 6 patient with minimal pleural effusion on chest X ray but none of them required re-operation.
