Using ultrasonography to determine thyroid size and volume in newly diagnosed Basedow patients and the relationship between thyroid volumes, sizes of goitre and FT 4, TRAb blood levels in these patients. The results indicated that the mean thyroid volume in Basedow patients was 20.51 + or - 11.20 ml which was higher than normal subjects 8.92 + or - 2.69 ml (p 0.05); there was a direct relationship between thyroid volumes and FT 4, TRAb blood levels.
