To characterise the SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) in type 2 diabetic patients with nontypical angina. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional study with MPI was performed on 250 type 2 diabetic patients. Non-typical angina and risky factors were collected. MPI findings were ana lysed and correlated with risky factors. Results: Positive MPI was seen in 49.2 percent. Classical risky factors cannot predict the abnormal MPL Heart failure and q wave on rest ECG has predictive value on abnormal MPL. Conclusions: Type 2 diabetic patients with non-typical angina proved to have high abnormal MPL.
