Đánh giá hiệu quả của hóa dự phòng bằng phác đồ ROM cho những người tiếp xúc với bệnh nhân phong tại tỉnh Khánh Hòa từ năm 2005-2011

Among 102 new leprosy patients detected during 2005-2011, men take up 66 percent and women account for 34 percent. Type of multi-bacteria MB is 68 percent, PB is 32 percent. There are no new cases of leprosy are detected among people having close contact with leprosy patients and using ROM regimen one dose only (rifampicine + Ofloxacine + Minocycline) since 2004 until now. Detection rate is 1.64/100,000 in 2005 and 0.84/100.000 in 2011, considerably decreasing is 47.23 percent in comparison with 2005. This has proved that using chemo-therapeutic prevention by ROM regimen results in positive effects on prevention of leprosy infection among people having contacts with leprosy patients.
