Health consulting and educating are very practical for hemorrhage-thrombocytopenia patients to realize the symptoms, the complications of the disease, and to know the self-care skills. The intervention research is applied to 108 patients at Department of Clinical Hematology No.1 - National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion from 11/2011 to 03/2012. The result of this research indicates that the disease is met mainly at young people. The percentage of female patients is higher than that of male patients: 82.4 percent. The percentage of general knowledge of patients before being consulted about this disease's symptoms is 66.7 percent, about the complications is 58.8 percent, and about the self-care skills is 36.1 percent. The knowledge about the disease of patients before being consulted is divided into 4 levels: low, medium, above medium, good. Low level is 0.9 percent, medium level is 63.9 percent, above medium level is 34.3 percent, and good level is 0.9 percent. The knowledge about this disease according to education levels has no difference.
