
The study aimed at assessing the results of nonoperative treatment of liver trauma at Viet Duc hospital in Hanoi. From 01/2007 to 12/2009 with 292 cases of liver injury is indicated for the treatment of conservation is not having surgery, in which of male was 213 cases (72.9 percent), of female was 79 cases (27.1 percent); the average age of 30.4 + or - 13.6 (from 3 - 99 years old). Traffic accidents cause 227 cases (77.7 percent), labour was 35 (12 percent), living was 30 (10.3 percent). Time from crash to arrival hospital on average 13.9 + or - 1.6 hours (from 30 minutes -10 days). At admission: hemodynamic was stability with maximum blood pressure of upper 90mmHg: 86.3 percent, unstability was 15.7 percent with maximum blood pressure of lower 90rnmHg. Tests: GOT increased 95.5 percent, GPT.increased 95.2 percent, bilirubin increased 12.3 percent. Diagnosis and classification of AA'5f based on tomography (CT) of the abdomen in which the grade I was 5 cases (54.2 percent); grade II: 72 (20.8 percent); grade III: 140 (16.7 percent); grade IV: 68 (8.3 percent); grade V: 7 ( percent). Nonoperative management was success of 260 cases (89 percent), complications of 13 (4.4 percent), operated of 19 (6.5 percent). The operation time after the conservative treatment was 2.3 + or - 2.9 days (from 1 hour -12 days). The average hospitalization' time of conservation treatment group averaged 8.1 + or - 4.4 days (from 1-45 days), the group of complications was of 15 + or - 9.9 days (from 3-37 days), the surgical group was 18.4 + or - 12.7 days (from 4-15 days).
