
Study aimed at evaluating the results of nonoperative management of pancreatic trauma. From 01/2006 to 12/2008 at Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi, there are 24 cases of pancreatic injury indicated for the non operative treatment, included 22 males (91.7 percent), 2 females (8.3 percent); the average age was 24.4 + or - 8.7 (range from 8-46 years). The cause of injuries were 20 traffic accidents (83.3 percent), 1 working accident (4.2 percent), 3 living accidents (12.5 percent). Clinics were only 2 cases of changing hemodinamic (8.3 percent) with maximum systolic pressure under 100mmHg. Examination of amylasemia increased 15 cases (62.5 percent). Diagnosis and classification of AAST-OIS based on CT scanner of abdomen including 13/24 cases of grade I (54.2 percent); 5/24 of grade II (20.8 percent); 4/24 of grade III (16.7 percent); 2/24 of grade IV (8.3 percent). The conservative management was successful in 19/24 cases (79.2 percent); 5/24 cases (20.8 percent) were operated. The time switch operation after the conservative treatment average 11.6 percent 12.6 days (range from 1 - 36 days). The average hospitalization of conservation treatment group was 6.1 percent 3 days (range 2 - 13 days), the converting group to open surgery was 23 percent 15.6 days (from 11 to 49 days). Outcomes were good 79.2 percent, middle 20.8 percent, no mortality in this study.
