Diện tích khoa dược tương đối nhỏ, điều kiện phòng pha chế theo đơn chưa đáp ứng yêu cầu, bộ phận dược lâm sàng rất thụ động và mang tính hình thức. Vì vậy để thực hiện mô hình khoa dược theo định hướng lâm sàng thì cần phải hoàn thiện cơ cấu tổ chức, đào tạo và quản lý tốt nhân lực, đầu tư cơ sở vật chất, trang thiết bị. Tỷ lệ dược sỹ lâm sàng phải đạt 30% so với tổng dược sỹ khoa dược và có đầy đủ tổ chuyên môn. Phòng pha chế theo đơn tối thiểu là 80m2 có các quy trình liên quan đến pha chế, đảm bảo yêu cầu của GMP.
