Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI) may be used for the direct inspection of various parts of the main coronary arteries for the detection of coronary stenoses and occlusions. the authors aimed to assess the feasibility of TDI to visualise the complete segments of the circumflex (LCx). Subjects and Methods: Tissue Doppler Imaging and coronary angiography were performed on 140 patients, including 50 with stenosed LAD 50 percent, and 90 as the control group ( stenosed LCx or or = 0.639, p0.001-0.01. Conclusions: TDI can be used to identify the patients with significant stenosis of LCx, and consequently may be helpful in considering the patients for coronary angiography.
