
Objective: Assessment early result of the surgery for treating of sinus of Valsalva rupture. Evaluate whether all the lesions will be treated via pulmonary artery and right atrium (except severe aortic regurgitation). Methods: The authors have retrospectively studied 10 cases of rupture of sinus of valsava in open heart surgery Department, Cho Ray Hospital from 2009-2011. All were exactly diagnosed and operated. Result: There were 7 males (70 percent) and 3 females (30 percent). Male:Female ratio was 2.4:1 mean age: 30.4 (19-45). The congenital sinus of Valsalva were mostly ruptured into right ventricle. No early in hospital mortality was noted. Conclusion: The sinus of Valsalva rupture is a congenital heart disease; exact diagnosed via clinical examination and heart ECHO. Open heart surgery (via pulmonary artey and right atrium) is a safe and good choice for repairing of all lesion. It brings "high quality of the life" to the patients.
