Survey on the situation of blood transfusion was conducted in Thai Nguyen Hematology and Blood Transfusion Centre in 2011, the results showed that: - The blood units collected from voluntary blood donors are 99 percent. - The highest and lowest proportions of ABO blood group system are O blood group (42.9 percent) and blood group AB (5.4 percent). Among Rh (D) blood group system, Rh (+) is 99.87 percent, Rh(-) is 0.13 percent. - The centre has been producing blood components: red blood cells, platelet, plasma (frozen and fresh frozen), cryo. - Implement safety testing of blood transfusion properly and adequately in the regulation of blood transfusion in 2007.
