Objectives: Evaluating the treatment strategy for hand-foot-mouth disease at provincial general hospitals in 2011. Method: Cross sectional descriptive. Results: Southeast region: Especially in Children's Hospital Dong Nai has 3290 cases consulting patient, 10 case patient died. South central coastal region: Especially in general hospital Quang Ngai has 2303 cases consulting patient, 4 cases patient died. Western highlands region has 1 death case. All hospitals have invested in consultation and treatment hand-foot-mouth disease. These hospitals can cure hand-foot-mouth disease from grade I to grade IIa. There are 8 hospitals can treat some serious illness from grade lIb to grade III. There are 3 hospitals can treat hand-foot-mouth disease grade IV but haven't been implemented for patients. Conclusion: Almost hospital have a basic of preparing in consulting and treatment hand-foot-mouth disease from grade I to IIa and dealing with epidemic diseases. Some hospital can't cure hand-foot-mouth disease from grade IIb to IV.
