
Background: Prediabetes is the state in which some but not all of the diagnostic criteria for diabetes are met. Dyslipidemia includes hypertriglyceridemia, low HDL-C, and small, dense LDL-C. Dyslipidemia increases cardiovascular risk in prediabetes persons. Objectives: To evaluate dystipidemia of pre-diabetic individuals in outpatient department of Bach Mai hospital. Methods: a cross-sectional, descriptive study was carried out on 1,054 persons, from 30 to 69 years ago, who check health in outpatient department of Bach mai hospital from 2 to 10/2012, diagnosed prediabetes according to criteria of WHO - 1999 and diagnosed dyslipidemia according to criteria of Vietnam National Heart Association - 2006. Results: The prevalence of prediabetes with dyslipidemia is 77 percent.
