
The purpose of the study is to assess the efficiency of Cedemex combined sedative medicine traditional supports patients with drug addiction, who are treated with methadone substitution to give up drugs. The study is conducted on 10 patients with drug addiction, who are treated with methadone substitution in methadone treatment facilities of Le Chan district. Apply the treatment to reduce the methadone dose from 1 to 2 months to the lowest dose and then stop using methadone, then use Cedemex (dosage as directed by the Ministry of Health) in combination with sedative medicines traditional (traditional Medicine hospital of Hai Phong) in 20 days. Resultat: Cedemex combined sedative medicine traditional have support effects and positive results in reducing the symptoms of drug withdrawal, especially from the 10th day of treatment onwards. There were 5 patients (50 percent), who have not drug cravings after 5 days of treatment and have not use methadone in the treatment phase, including one patient (10 percent) gives up completely drug from 8 months. There were 5 patients (50 percent), who have drug cravings and must use methadone from 5th day of therapy. The time of methadone dose reduced is important to decide the effect of the use Cedemex combined sedative medicines traditional for support to give up drugs. This time should be extended to patients who have enough time to adapt to the deficiency of drugs.
