
Objectives: Discribe characteristics of radiographic and clinical of open fracture of tibia and fibula in adults. Patients and method: Prospective study of 100 patients diagnosed open fracture of tibia and fibula in Viet Duc University Hospital from 9/2013 to 12/2013. Results: Prevalence of Male / Female is 3.17/1 with an average age of 37.25 + 16.06 get the most from age 20-40 years old. The cause of traffic accidents accounted for 81 percent of cases, and in 23 percent of cases that have hurt coordinate. On clinical followgrade open fractures of Gustilo grade III open fractures accounted for 62 percent. X-ray film on location fractures are the most common third middle (71 percent). Conclusion: Open fracture of tibia and fibula is most common encountered in working age 20-40 years, males were more than females, mainly due to traffic accidents, common vulnerability to severe and complicated.
