Background: computerized tomographic image is important role in the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with coma due to cerebral infarction. Subjects and methods: 114 patients with cerebral infarction (including 40 patients with coma), were cerebral computerized tomography. Evaluate the location, number, lesion size and displacement effects. Results: The average age of disease was 67.70 + or - 13.89 (consciousness group) and 68.57 + or - 11.13 (no coma group), hemisphere lesions 75.0 percent; lesions in the brain stem is 22.5 percent, drive large-sized lesions was 87.5 percent; 90.0 percent of patients with displaced midline and displacement effects for moderate and severe levels. Compared with the group not coma, the difference is statistically significant with p 0.05. Condusion: Image CT scan in patients with coma due to cerebral infarction that high rate of injury in the brain stem, large volume and displacement effects for moderate, severe.
