Objectives: assessment of ureteroscopic lithotripsy in treatment of ureteral stone at Hue Central Hospital and at Hue University Hospital. Materials and methods: study has been realized on 1099 patients with ureteral stones (composed of 1,142 ureteral stones, 1,129 kidneys with ureteral stones) treated by ureteroscopic lithotripsy at Hue Central Hospital and Hue University Hospital from 8/2006 den 5/2012. The authors reported treatment outcomes such as lithotripsy time, complications, lithotripsy results, hospital stay... Results: mean age: 47.18 + or - 13.49 years. Male: 34 percent, female: 66 percent. Position of stones: upper one third 15,35 percent (175), central one third 37,3 percent (426), and lower one third 47,35 percent (541); Laser lithotripsy: 75,22 percent (859), and ballistics lithotripsy: 24,78 percent (283). Average time of lithotripsy 28,15 + or - 12 minutes. Successful rate: 95,48 percent (1090). Hospital stay 3,2 + or - 0,8 days. Conclusions: ureteroscopic lithotripsy for urinary stone treatment is a safe, effective, less traumatic method.
