
Objectives: Study of morbidity and mortality of neonates admitted in pediatrics depannent of Thainguyen Hospital from 2008 to 2010. Methods: Description retrospective. Results: As analysis based on the study of 2821 neonates admitted the departement of pediatrics from 2008 to 2010, it has been resumed as followings: The rate of immature neonates accountes for 53.6 percent neonatal patient admitted on the first day is 62.1 percent and the weight of neonates under were 2500gram 62.0 percent. Most common diseases in were pneumonia, hyperbilirubinemia jaundice and immature neonates and diminished respiratory. Neonatal mortality accounted for 7.7 percent, in which immature neonates took 46.3 percent, 56.0 percent of neonates dead during 24 h admitted. Causes of death were reported as immature lungs, surfactant insufficiency, diminished respiratory and pneumonia.
