Melioidosis là một bệnh nhiễm trùng do trực khuẩn gram âm Burkholderia pseudomallei gây ra. Bệnh hiện đã gia tăng nhiều trên phạm vi toàn thế giới. Bệnh gây tổn thương ở nhiều cơ quan, trong đó hay gặp nhất là phổi, sau đó là da và tổ chức dưới da, các tạng như lách, gan, thận, tiền liệt tuyến. Tổn thương hệ thần kinh trong Melioidosis là thể bệnh hiếm gặp. Trong bài viết này chúng tôi mô tả một ca bệnh nhân áp xe não do nhiễm Burkholderia pseudomallei với đặc điểm lâm sàng và hình ảnh có được trên phim cộng hưởng từ sọ não.
Melioidosis is an infection caused by gram-negative bacillus Burkholderia pseudomallei . It is being increasingly reported in around the world. Almost every organ can be infected, but the most infected organ is the lung, followed by the skin and subcutaneous tissues, spleen, liver, kidneys, prostate. Neuromelioidosis is a rare manifestation of Melioidosis. In this article, we report a patient case who was diagnosed Melioidosis brain abscess with clinical features and imaging characteristics by MR image.
