Introduction: The safety of allograft tendon using in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery. Objectives: 1. Evaluate the ultrastructures of allograft tendon; 2. Describe the histologic changing around the allograft tendon in experimental tendon transplantation; 3. Evaluate the infection rate of allograft tendon after procurement, processing and sterilization. Results: There is only changing in ultrastructure but not in macrostructure. There is no evidence of infection and rejection, revascularization, appearance of fibroblast and new bone tissue in tendon tissue can be seen. Conclusion: Allograft tendon can be used for surgery.
