To evaluate serum vitamin 25(OH)D concentrations and to investigate factors related to serum vitamin 25(OH)D in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis at Rheumatology Department, Bach Mai hospital. Patients and Methods: cross-sectional study included 51 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis (WHO criteria for osteoporosis) at Bach Mai hospital from 10/2009 to 6/2011. Postmenopausal duration, vitamin D supplement history and body mass index (BMI) were recorded. Serum concentration of 25(OH)D was measured by the Electrochemiluminescence immunoassay on the Roche Elecsys system (Roche Diagnosis Elecsys). Bone mineral density (BMD) was measured by Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) test. Results: (1) mean serum vitamin 25(OH)D level was 26.88 + or - 8.31ng/ml . Prevalence of suboptimal serum vitamin 25(OH)D (30ng/ml) was 72.5 percent. (2) Serum 25(OH)D was inversely associated with postmenopausal duration (r
