
Object: This work was aimed to investigate the result of surgery in patients with spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage and deep coma. Method: All patients who presented spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage with deep coma underwent a surgery at Department of Neurosurgery and Spinal Surgery Binh Dinh General Hospital from May 2009 to May 2010 were enrolled in this study. The age, sex symptoms and outcome of surgery were evaluated. Results: The were 13 patient (9 male and 4 females), mean age was 52.5 + or - 3.9 years. The most frequent clinical manifestations were coma 12 cases (92.3 percent) and motor deficits in 5 cases (38.5 percent). The most common sites of hemorrhage were parietal in 3 cases (23.1 percent), capsulo-Ienticular in 2 cases (38.5 percent). The good results were in 7 cases (53.8 percent). Mortality was in 3 cases (23.1 percent). Conclussion: Although the clinical presentation of the patients with spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage and deep coma were severe, surgical treatment can after an acceptable good results.
