
Purpose: Aim to analysis the clinical features of digestive tuberculosis, expecially colonic tuberculosis and to experience of it's diagnosis. Materials and methods: Prospective study of all colonic tuberculosis were treated at Viet Duc Hospital from 2005 to 2007. Result: There were 22 cases diagnosed colonic tuberculosis. Average age was 44,8, male patients commonly in 81 percent; Chief complaints were abdominal pain 100 percent with diarrhea or digestive disorder in 86 percent; fever 68 percent, weight loss in 50 percent. 40,9 percent has tuberculosis history. Clinical examination has found the abdominal mass in 36,4 percent, bowel obstruction 31,8 percent. Disgnosis was confirmed by Barium enema in 4/4, by colonoscopy in 5/7, crscanner 4/5. Conclusion: The diagnosis of colonic tuberculosis is still challenging due to the clinical symtom was not specific or emergency complications, or not proper examination provided. Combination of clinical and imaging exminations could be confirmed the diagnosis. crscanner, Colonoscopy and Barium enema were valuable techniques for complicated colonic tuberculosis.
