Objective: To evaluate the postoperative hearing result of Bioceramic stape prosthesis implanted patients stiff stape joint. Study design: A retrospective analysis of preoperative and postoperative hearing thresholds. Patients: twenty one men and fourty women. Average age 33 years, youngest 10 and oldest 57 years. Results : the overall postoperative air-bone gap for the frequancy combination 0.5-1-2-4 kHz was 15.78 dB (standard deviation: 10.10). The postoperative PTA improved most preqandes. Mean bone-conduction was 11.15 (standard deviation: 8.42) dB. Conclusion: The bioceramic stape prosthesis as well as other materials. It can be saftely and successfully restore the function of the middle ear when implanted in patients with stiff stape joint.
