Treatment. of soft tissue defects of ankle and foot has always been a challenging problem. The study aims to review result of reconstructive and plastic surgery soft tissue of the ankle and foot. The authors used 75 operations for covering soft tissue defect of ankle and foot: 33 skin grafts, 27 pedicle flaps, 15 free flaps. Near result: good 61.3 percent, moderately good 28 percent, bad 10.7 percent. The result after 6 months: good 78.4 percent, moderately good 21.6 percent. In conclusion, the treatment of soft-tissue defects of the ankle and foot can use skin graft, pedicle flaps, free flaps. Pedicle flaps had most advantage.
