
Liver cancer is a disease usually occured in both sexes. Liver cancer is related to hepatitis B, C, mold in cereals and wine. If people understand the risk factors and practice good prevention can reduce the rate of liver cancer, authorsstudy "Survey of knowledge - Practice liver cancer prevention in the community of Can Tho city in 2009". Study objectives: Learn the knowledge and practice of people about liver cancer in Can Tho city in 2009. Study subjects: 390 people from 20-60 years old living in the city.Can Tho in the study period. Results: - People in cities have good knowledge of 73,8 percent, 58.5 percent correct practice, higher than the rural people have good knowledge 60,5 percent, right practice 51,3 percent. People aged 20-40 have good knowledge of 74,6 percent, higher than the ages of 41-60 have good knowledge 70,5 percent, but 44.2 percent correct practice is lower than with age 41-60 have the right to practice is 65 percent. - Knowledge of people understand the risk factors for liver cancer accounted for 55.64 percent is high, but the understanding of liver cancer prevention is better than 78.46 percent, misunderstandings and the risk factors prevention of liver cancer accounted for 46.36 percent and 21.54 percent. - Practice right about early detection of liver reserve 83.85 percent.
