
This was a cross-sectional descriptive study about knowledge and practice of disease prevention upon Hand-foot and mouth disease among mother of children under 10 years old at Binhgiang, Haiduong. Results showed that majority of mot/:lers know the common symptoms of disease as oral ulcers (77.3 percent), water blisters (67.8 percent). About 50.0 percent of mothers with less than high school degree and 59.8 percent of mothers had high school degree or more could indicate disease transmission route as digestive gate. Only 38.1 percent of mothers knew the common age group that disease mainly occured. Majority of mothers regularly boil drinking and cooked food for their family (96.0 percent); or help children changed dothes daily (74.3 percent).
