This paper will analyze the quantity, characteristics and structural occupation of workforce in CHILILAB in 2010, based on the data of Chi Linh Demographic Epidemiologic Surveillance System (CHILlLAB). The sample size includes all residents in CHILILAB, 2010 with 34,921 people in working age (15 and 59 years old) contains 64.8 percent population. The proportion of working age people participating in the economics activities contains 74.6 percent but low-level in education and technical skills. Approximately 50 percent workforce get the secondary level and 10,8 percent working people get graduated or higher degree. Nearly 80 percent workforce did not train in any vacational school or university. Agriculture stills plays an important role in CHILILAB (40 percent); business/services contain high percentage (33.2 percent). However, there are a remarkable proportion of young workforce with potential abilities, higher education and technical training level than the elder people. Therefore, having a good policy to use the present young labor and maximum "the gold population structure" in the local area. Improving workforce's quality to develop the local economics in the next stage.
