Nghiên cứu một số chỉ số nhân trắc học của học sinh trung học phổ thông vùng Đông Bắc Bộ

This study examined 2177 high school students in Northeastern Vietnam to evaluate anthropometric indexes, including weight-for-age, height-for-age, head circumference-for-age, neck circumference-for-age, mid-upper arm circumference-tar-age, chest circumference-tar-age, abdomen circumference-tar-age and hip circumference-for-age. The results showed that: (1) The development of these anthropometric parameters in Northeastern Vietnam corresponds to general body growth of Vietnamese people, (2) These anthropometric parameters correlate with each other in regarding growth process in ages 16 to 18, (3) Most of the children have a BMI which is average (92.7 percent of the 16 year olds, 90.2 percent of the 17 year oids and 957 percent of the 18 year oIds). However, some students were stunted (2.0 percent of the 16 year olds, 2.8 percent of the 17 year olds and 1.5 percent of the 18 year olds.The percent of those who were overweigh rate was 3.5 percent, 5.2 percent and 1.6 percent and percent who were obese was 0.8 percent, 0.9 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, lor those 16 to 18 years old.
