Objective: define the relationship and the compatibility between the INR measured by portable CoaguCheck XS and by standard laboratory method. Subjects-Methods: 51 patients with mechanical heart valves were measured the INR finger capillaries blood on portable CoaguCheck XS and venous biood sampling methods in the standard laboratory of Bach Mai Hospital at the same time. The relationship between INR of two methods are analyzed based on the correlation coefficient r (Pearson); plot and linear regression equation y = ax + b. Graphing conformity by Bland - Altman to examine the value of INR by the two methods are in good agreement when the standard deviation (SD) of the average performance of two methods of INR 0.5 units and 20 percent of the value lies outside of + or - 2 SD.
