Results: 44.6 percent of the respondents reported "Not be able to prevent flash flood-related death". No diferrence was found between the two respondent groups (OR=1.0; 95 percent; CI: 0.54-1.87). The three leading reasons of not be able to prevent flash flood-related deaths include: (i) "As not being able to know when a flood will occur"; (ii) "As flash flood and landslides are natural calamities"; and (iii) "As it has high velocity and is accompanied with rock, landslide". Key recommendations for reducing flash flood-related deaths include establishment of an early warning system and implementation of education and communication on risks of flash flood and landslide.
