Sa sút trí tuệ (SSTT) là sự phối hợp rối loạn tiến triển về trí nhớ và quá trình ý niệm hóa, ở mức độ gây tổn hại tới hoạt động sống hàng ngày. SSTT chưa có biện pháp điều trị đặc hiệu, do đó các biện pháp dự phòng và phát hiện sớm bệnh SSTT được ưu tiên hàng đầu. Nghiên cứu này nhằm mô tả tỷ lệ mắc sa sút trí tuệ ở người bệnh tại khoa nội A – Bệnh viện Hữu nghị đa khoa Nghệ An năm 2023. Thiết kế nghiên cứu cắt ngang thực hiện trên 290 người bệnh (≥60 tuổi). Thông tin được thu thập qua thang đo tầm soát SSTT Mini – Cog và bộ câu hỏi phỏng vấn soạn sẵn về giới tính, tuổi, chỉ số BMI, một số bệnh đồng mắc. Kết quả cho thấy tỷ lệ mắc SSTT ở người bệnh là 35,2%. Người bệnh là nam giới chiếm tỷ lệ 48,62% thấp hơn người bệnh là nữ giới chiếm 51,38%. Độ tuổi người bệnh từ 70-79 tuổi chiếm phần lớn người bệnh đến khám tại khoa 46,3%. Chỉ số BMI bình thường chiếm phần lớn 70%, tiếp đến là bệnh nhân có chỉ số BMI ở mức gầy và thừa cân (béo phì) có tỷ lệ gần tương đương nhau 17-13%. Người bệnh có bệnh lý chiếm phần lớn đó là tăng huyết áp 67,6%.
Dementia is a combination of progressively worsening memory and intellectual problems that interfere with regular daily tasks. There is no specific treatment for dementia, so prevention measures and early detection of dementia are top priorities. The purpose of the research is to provide prevalence of dementia among inpatients at Internal Medicine Department A of NgheAn General Friendship Hospital in 2023. A cross-sectional investigation was conducted on 290 patients (all under the age of 60). The Mini-Cog dementia screening scale and pre-written interview questions on gender, age, BMI, and various comorbidities were used to gather data. The results showed that the prevalence of dementia among inpatients was 35.2%. Male patients accounted for 48.62% less than female patients, who accounted for 51.38%. The age range of 70–79 years old accounts for the majority of patients visiting the department (46.3%). Normal BMI accounts for the majority at 70%, followed by patients with BMI in the lean and overweight (obese) ranges at 17–13%. And 67.6% of the patients had hypertension, which was the most common ailment.
