Background: Eugenia operculata (Roxb)-water which were used to drink for refreshments has effects of antibiotic and treatment of nephrolithiasis. These effects were discovered by people in North of Vietnam. Methods: The patients with nephrolithiasis were oral of eugenia perculata (Roxb)-water (15 gr eugenia perculata in 1.8L boiled water/24h) in 6 months. Diameter of nephrolithiasis were measured by ultrasound before and after oral of eugenia perculata (Roxb)-water in 6 months. Results and conclusions: 46 patients with nephrolithiasis, which had 54 kidneys with 54 stones had oral of Eugenia operculata (Roxb)-water in 6 months. The results showed that: Diameter of nephrolithiasis were decreased from 0.94 + or - 0.21cm to 0.68 + or - 0.16 cm (p0.05) after oral eugenia perculata (Roxb)-water in 6 months. 24/54 stones (44.44 percent) were putted out of urinary tract. There were not reserve effects of long-term eugenia opercu/ata Roxb-water oral.
