Hoại tử hoàn toàn khối u gan sau 2 tuần điều trị bằng phương pháp hóa tắc mạch với vi nang cầu ở bệnh nhân ung thư biểu mô tế bào gan không còn chỉ định phẫu thuật

Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) using drug - eluting micropheres (DEB TACE) is one modified TACE technique appliedfor treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. The paper presented one first case of HCC who were treated by DEB TACE at No.108 Military Central Hospital. Two sizes of DC Bead micropheres were used: 100-300um and 500 - 700um which of them was loaded with 37.5mg of Doxorubicin (total dose of doxorubicin was 75mg). The maner of the technique is as same as conventional TACE. Postembolization syndrome lasting for 5 days was included upper quadrant pain, fever and increasing of blood transaminases. Two - week post - embolization multislice CT images showed a complete tumor necrosis. Serum AFP level was decreased to normal limit. Patients clinical has been good so far.
