
Objectives: Buried penis should be treated early. Objedive: to indicate and choose the methods of treatment of buried penis. Subjects: 139patients diagnosed with buried penis were treated on at Viet-Duc Hospital from December 2001 to August 2011. Methods: Retro-prospective study: - Medical treatment: Dilatation of the prepuce and penile skin. Use HCG if the penis is small and mild buried penis. - Operating technique: incise along the peno-scrotal raphe, liberate all penile shaft by ressection of the abnormal dysgenetic dartos facial bands, a z-plasty is performed at the penoscrotal junction in order to rotate scrotal skin to cover the penile skin defect. Results: in 139 patients: - Medical treatment: 49 patients are being treated, Treatment of HCG in 17 patients. - Surgical treatment :90 patients after medical treatment were operated and had an good early results. A long term following up is carrying. Conclusion: In treatment of buried penis, it should be treat the phymosis and small penis before surgical intervention. The operating technique with the incision along the peno-scrotal raphe and a Z-plasty can correct theburied penis and preserves the prepuce.
