
Laryngeal cancer was common in Vietnam. Objectives: study on clinical presentations and surgical treatment. Patients and methods: 224 patients were operated in ENT hospital from 2000 to 2004 and follow up to 2008. With retrospective descriptive study. Results: The mean age was 56.5+ or - 9.4; 96.9 percent was males. Staging: T1 13.4 percent, T2 28.6 percent, T3 45.1 percent, T4 12.9 percent. NO 85.3 percent, N1 9.4 percent, N2 4.5 percent, N3 0.9 percent. Surgical managements: Toatal larygectomy in 181 patients (80.7 percent), partial larygectomy in 43 pts (23 frotal lateral laryngectomy,12 cordectomy, and 8 supracricoid laryngectomy. Conclusions: Surgical treatment for laryngeal cancer in Vietnam was the treatment of choice, it had the good results.
